Chart-topping heavy metal rockers Godsmack will perform on the Buffalo Chip’s Wolfman Jack Stage on Sunday, Aug. 4. The band has sold more than 20 million records in just over a decade, had three consecutive albums chart at no. 1, 23 radio hits secure a spot in the top 10, and 17 make the top five, making them one of the most popular rock bands of all time.
In addition to Godsmack, the first weekend of the Buffalo Chip’s annual motorcycle and music festival will feature some of the world’s top entertainment including Keith Urban, George Thorogood and the Destroyers and Skid Row. Special day pass pre-sale pricing will end February 15 at 5 p.m. MST.
Godsmack shook the hard rock world to its knees with their debut album in 1998, and have remained one of the genre’s most powerful forces ever since. The post-grunge hard rock titans will lay the smack down on Sturgis Rally concert-goers with hits like “Voodoo,” “I Stand Alone,” “1000 hp” and “Bulletproof” in addition to modern heavy interpretations of classics by Led Zeppelin, The Beatles, Joe Walsh, and Pink Floyd. Godsmack has has nine no. 1 hits on Billboard’s Mainstream Rock chart, two from their latest album, “When Legends Rise.”
The Godsmack performance will follow the American Flat Track Grand National Championship Races in the Buffalo Chip’s amphitheater.
