The unmistakable heavy metal boogie of Volbeat will disrupt the Buffalo Chip’s Wolfman Jack Stage on Friday, Aug. 9. Critics have referred to Volbeat’s blend of heavy metal, rockabilly and punk as “Elvis Metal” and “hooky, major-key hard rock with a beat you can’t keep to yourself.” This unique sound has helped the band become an undeniable rock force, earning them six chart-topping hits in less than five years.
Volbeat’s chart-topping songs include “The Devil’s Bleeding Crown,” which clung to the no. 1 spot on Billboard’s Mainstream Rock chart for nine weeks, and “Seal the Deal,” both from their latest album, “Seal the Deal and Let’s Boogie.” All of the band’s six studio albums have been certified gold in Denmark, and their second album, “Rock the Rebel/Metal the Devil,” received platinum status. The 2010 album release “Beyond Hell/Above Heaven” was subject to widespread international critical acclaim, receiving double platinum in Denmark, platinum in Finland and Germany, and gold in the United States, Sweden and Austria.
Volbeat joins an expanding list of some of the world’s most talented and beloved bands performing at the Sturgis Buffalo Chip in 2019.
